Moore, Olbermann, on Occupy Wall Street: Fighting Back Against the Real Thieves, Gangsters, Kleptomaniacs | AlterNet

Michael Moore’s appearance on Countdown With Keith Olbermann to discuss began with a clip of Moore on “The People’s Mic” at Liberty Plaza telling the crowd that the plutocrats are “thieves, gangsters and kleptomaniacs.”

Moore spoke about the “kind” and supportive and leaderless efforts of the protesters.

Moore says that “management at the NYPD” are “itchin’ for a fight” but the patrol cops are less inclined to tangle with protesters. He said the NYPD has overplayed its hand and possibly played into the movement’s hand.

The two also discussed the movement’s value in just allowing people to say “I’ve had enough!”

Liberal media commentators complaining about the protesters remind Moore of “our parents when the Beatles came on the air.”
