Angry Bank of America customers protest $5 charge – storyful

Angry Bank of America customers are signing an online petition demanding the bank drop its plans to introduce a new $5 monthly debit card purchase fee. One customer, Molly Katchpole who set up the petition via change.org, has already attracted 131,000 customer signatures after threatening to take her business elsewhere unless the bank abandon its plans. The petition is entitled Tell Bank of America: No $5 Debit Card Fees. Customers are taking to Twitter and posting messages under #BofA and #BankofAmerica. Meanwhile, the bank’s website has been experiencing disruptions for six consecutive days.
